Telangana tenders 369 EV charging stations with 200 in Hyderabad under 10 year CPO contracts

By Eve

Telangana Renewable Energy Development Corporation has issued tenders for 369 public EV charging stations, with 200 planned across Greater Hyderabad, Cyberabad and Malkajgiri municipal areas and 169 under Telangana Northern Power Distribution Company Limited covering Warangal, Khammam, Karimnagar, Nizamabad and Adilabad districts. Bids open on the Telangana e-Procurement portal from 8 to 22 September, with selected charge point operators awarded 10 year contracts to design, build, operate and maintain the sites. Eligible bidders will receive subsidy under the PM E-DRIVE scheme.

Why it matters: This 369 station procurement represents one of India's larger state level charging tenders, offering CPOs decade long revenue certainty and federal subsidy support. The Hyderabad cluster model and fixed consumer tariffs provide a structured framework for operators planning multi site rollouts in southern India.
