Invinity delivers 20.7 MWh vanadium flow battery system to East Sussex site, Europe's largest when operational in 2026

London-listed Invinity Energy Systems has delivered 90 vanadium flow batteries totalling 20.7 megawatt-hours to the Copwood VFB Energy Hub in East Sussex, paired with a 3 MW solar array. The system, due to enter service later in 2026, will store solar energy during the day and discharge it during evening peaks, with capacity to cover the daily needs of around 3,000 homes. Invinity highlights the water-based electrolyte's fire safety advantage and the technology's suitability for long-duration energy shifting and decades of heavy-duty cycling.
