Togg T10X was Turkey's top selling SUV in October with 4,059 units

By Eve

SUVs and crossovers sold 45,309 units in Turkey in October, a 69.77% share of the passenger car market, or roughly 7 in every 10 cars. From January to October the segment reached 461,200 units and a 66.56% share. The Togg T10X led October with 4,059 units, 8.96% of SUV sales, ahead of a Volkswagen model on 3,324, the Renault Boreal on 2,779, the Renault Duster on 2,249 and the BMW X1 on 2,212, according to the report.

Why it matters

A domestic brand leading a segment that makes up about two thirds of the car market shows where new vehicle volume is concentrated. Charging operators and procurers should watch how the Togg's sales translate into demand for charging in Turkey.

Togg T10X was Turkey's best-selling car in October as the overall market fell 30.84% year on year

Turkey's car and light commercial vehicle market shrank 15.33% to 883,799 units in the first 10 months of 2026, with October sales down 30.84% year on year to 80,334 units (64,939 cars and 15,395 light commercial vehicles). According to figures shared by motoring journalist Emre Özpeynirci, the Togg T10X led October with 4,059 sales, ahead of the Volkswagen T-Roc on 3,324 and the Renault Boreal on 2,779. The Togg T10F placed fourth on 2,702, giving Togg 6,761 units from two models in the top four, while Renault Clio led the January to October ranking on 35,844.

Why it matters

A domestic electric brand taking two of the top four places in a sharply contracting market points to a growing EV parc even as overall demand weakens, which supports the case for charging demand in Turkey. Procurement and CPO teams should still treat the market slump as a risk to near-term volume assumptions.

Rivian ships nearly 20,000 vehicles in Q3 2026 and narrows losses, but remains unprofitable

Rivian reported third quarter 2026 consolidated revenue of US$2.155 billion, up 38% year on year, with consolidated gross profit of US$176 million, a US$152 million improvement. Net loss attributable to common stockholders fell to US$913 million from US$1.173 billion, and adjusted net loss per share was US$0.48 against US$0.65. The company shipped nearly 20,000 vehicles from Normal, Illinois, and revised its delivery prediction to between 67,000 and 70,000 vehicles, as reported by EVNews's source coverage of the results.

Why it matters

Rising vehicle volumes alongside continued heavy losses show that US EV demand remains under pressure, which shapes the pace of charger utilisation growth that CPOs and their funders can expect. Procurement teams should note that Rivian's improved automotive gross loss of US$80 million still depends partly on regulatory credit revenue, so the outlook for US policy support matters.

BYD Atto 3 Evo compared with Renault Scenic E Tech as Renault updates its battery and range

A French-language comparison puts the facelifted BYD Atto 3 Evo, whose specification now matches its rivals, against the Renault Scenic E Tech. Between writing and publication, Renault presented an updated Scenic whose top version moves from an 87 kWh to an 89 kWh battery, with WLTP range rising from 625 to 642 km and consumption unchanged. The article says charging also differs on the new version, but the excerpt does not give the figures.

Why it matters

Two of the main compact electric SUV rivals in France are changing their specifications, and the Scenic's charging behaviour is changing with its battery. Procurement and CPO teams should watch for the detailed charging figures, as they affect how these vehicles use sites.
