Uttar Pradesh targets 110 electric buses and 10,000 charging stations by 2030 for Jewar Airport corridor

By Eve

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed officials to deploy 110 electric buses for connectivity to Noida International Airport ahead of flight operations starting 15 June. The state government aims to build 10,000 charging stations by 2030, up from around 2,500 currently operational, to support approximately 1.55 million registered electric vehicles. The infrastructure push forms part of an integrated mobility and logistics plan around the new airport.

Why it matters: The 10,000 station target by 2030 signals a major procurement pipeline for charge point operators and equipment suppliers in India's most populous state. Immediate tenders for airport corridor charging and fleet depots are likely as the June deadline approaches.
