VinFast to supply electric buses to US via NexMove partnership from 2028
By Eve
Vietnamese EV maker VinFast will bring its electric bus models to the US market through NexMove Certified, a joint venture of Transportation Management Services and Zeem Solutions, with deliveries of certified vehicles expected to start in 2028. NexMove will offer the buses as a service, bundling the vehicle, charging infrastructure, maintenance and operations under a single agreement. Approximately 2,000 VinFast electric buses with LFP battery technology are currently operating in Vietnam.
Why it matters
The buses as a service model removes upfront capital barriers for US transit operators considering electrification, while the integrated charging and maintenance package simplifies procurement for fleet managers evaluating electric bus tenders from 2028 onwards.

VinFast launches certified pre-owned programme as studies show used EV durability
VinFast has introduced a Certified Pre-Owned programme in Canada, targeting the used electric vehicle market. The initiative comes as studies indicate used EVs demonstrate durability due to fewer mechanical parts compared to internal combustion vehicles. The programme aims to simplify the purchasing process for second-hand electric vehicles in the Canadian market.
Why it matters
A manufacturer-backed certified pre-owned scheme could accelerate EV adoption by reducing buyer risk and building confidence in used electric vehicle reliability, potentially expanding the addressable market for charging infrastructure as more affordable EVs enter circulation.
VinFast launches 500 vehicle electric taxi fleet in Los Angeles through Green SM
Vietnamese automaker VinFast has entered the North American ride-hailing market with Green SM, deploying an initial fleet of 500 VF8 electric SUVs in Los Angeles. The service, owned by parent conglomerate Vingroup, operates with professionally trained full-time drivers and marks Green SM's ninth global market. Los Angeles represents VinFast's first North American mobility venture as the automaker seeks greater US visibility beyond passenger vehicle sales.
Why it matters
A 500 vehicle electric fleet launch signals immediate charging infrastructure demand in the Los Angeles area, with potential for further expansion if the service scales. Fleet operators like Green SM typically require dedicated depot charging or priority access to public fast charging networks, creating procurement opportunities for charge point operators and equipment suppliers.
Youdha launches ePod G electric three-wheeler with 545 kg payload for last-mile cargo
Indian electric commercial vehicle maker Youdha has launched the ePod G, a cargo variant of its three-wheeler platform, featuring an 11.8 kWh LFP battery, 6 kW motor, 545 kg payload capacity, and 170 to 180 km range. The vehicle charges in four to five hours and will be offered in half-deck and four closed box configurations. The launch follows the rollout of Youdha's passenger three-wheeler and targets last-mile delivery operators.
Why it matters
The ePod G adds a commercial cargo option to India's growing electric three-wheeler segment, creating potential charging demand from fleet operators and last-mile logistics providers. Its four to five hour charge time and sub-50 kmph speed profile suggest suitability for depot-based AC charging rather than en-route fast charging infrastructure.
