West Berkshire Council awards Connected Kerb contract for over 600 public EV charge points

West Berkshire Council has partnered with Connected Kerb to install more than 600 public EV charge points across the district, backed by £382,000 from the Department for Transport's Local Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Fund and private investment from Connected Kerb. The programme targets on street and car park locations to serve residents without off street parking, with infrastructure planned to support a further 300 charge points as demand grows. Installation is scheduled to begin in 2026, with full delivery over four years under a 20 year operating agreement.
