Białystok adds 30 Yutong electric buses to reach 50 vehicle fleet with 110 unit target

By Eve

Białystok, Poland, has taken delivery of 30 Yutong U12 battery electric buses supplied by Busnex Poland, bringing the city's zero emission bus fleet to 50 vehicles across three municipal operators. The contract, signed in July 2025 and supported by Poland's National Recovery Plan, included charging infrastructure and follows a 2023 delivery of 20 Yutong E12 buses. The city plans to expand its electric bus fleet to 110 vehicles.

Why it matters: The procurement demonstrates sustained municipal commitment to fleet electrification in north eastern Poland, with repeat orders signalling confidence in Yutong and Busnex as delivery partners. The inclusion of charging infrastructure in the contract and national funding support point to coordinated public transport decarbonisation across Polish cities.
