Zip Infrastructure and ShinMaywa Industries form alliance to develop charging and maintenance facilities for Zippar self-propelled ropeway

Zip Infrastructure has entered a capital and business alliance with ShinMaywa Industries to jointly develop maintenance bases, charging facilities and storage units for its Zippar urban ropeway system. The partnership will leverage ShinMaywa's construction and maintenance expertise from its parking system business. Zippar is positioned as a low cost autonomous transport solution that can be built at one tenth the cost of railways and one fifth the cost of monorails, with the development base now in Minamisoma City, Fukushima Prefecture, and cooperation agreements signed with municipalities including Kanagawa Prefecture and Tomigusuku City in Okinawa.
