EV World Africa has completed the first phase of a fleet electrification project for Abba's Heart Montessori School in Lagos, Nigeria, delivering electric school buses and supporting charging infrastructure. The project, described as one of the first major school fleet electrification initiatives in Nigeria, includes an end to end service covering needs assessment, vehicle procurement and charging deployment. The company aims to fully electrify the school's entire bus fleet by the third quarter of 2026, with complete fleet transition targeted by the end of 2026.
Why it matters: This marks a rare early mover project in the Nigerian education sector, demonstrating demand for turnkey fleet electrification services that bundle vehicles, infrastructure and operational support. For charging providers and fleet operators, it signals emerging opportunities in institutional transport segments beyond commercial logistics in African markets.
