EV World Africa has completed the first phase of a fleet electrification project for Abba's Heart Montessori School in Lagos, Nigeria, delivering electric school buses and supporting charging infrastructure. The project, described as one of the first major school fleet electrification initiatives in Nigeria, includes an end to end service covering needs assessment, vehicle procurement and charging deployment. The company aims to fully electrify the school's entire bus fleet by the third quarter of 2026, with complete fleet transition targeted by the end of 2026.

Fleet electrification is the most commercially viable segment of Nigeria's electric vehicle market, with FMCG distribution, corporate staff transport, last mile logistics, ride hailing platforms and institutional fleets leading adoption, according to Seun Oluwalade, CEO of EV World Africa, in an interview with Nairametrics. Oluwalade's firm advises organisations on switching diesel and petrol fleets to electric vehicles and designs charging systems for commercial operators. High utilisation fleets with predictable routes and centralised depots are adopting EVs to cut fuel costs and reduce emissions, making fleet electrification the fastest pathway to scale in Nigeria.

ADNOC Distribution has inaugurated a 60 point ultra-fast EV charging hub at Saih Shuaib on the E11 highway between Abu Dhabi and Dubai, capable of charging most EVs from 0 to 80 per cent in approximately 20 minutes. The site is the sixth largest superfast EV charging hub in the world and the largest in the Middle East, Africa and Turkey. ADNOC Distribution plans to open 20 EV charging hubs by the end of 2027, with 15 expected by the end of 2026, covering all core UAE national highways.
