Berlin is planning to procure an additional 270 Solaris electric buses, accompanied by a significant expansion of its fast charging network to support the growing zero emission fleet. Solaris has secured an order for 101 battery electric buses from VR Sverige for deployment in the Stockholm area. The order comprises 5 Urbino 9 LE electric units, 47 Urbino 12 electric buses, 22 Urbino 15 LE electric units, and 27 articulated Urbino 18 electric buses, all equipped with electric drivetrains and Solaris High Energy batteries. With this contract and ongoing deliveries, Solaris states its total electric bus deliveries in Sweden will exceed 550 units, building on nearly 300 already supplied.

Solaris has signed three contracts with Scandinavian operator Nobina to supply 103 Urbino 15 LE low-entry electric buses for deployment across Sweden in 2027, according to a Solaris press note. The vehicles will serve Stockholm (50 units), Skåne (49 units) and Göteborg (4 units). Solaris has delivered 201 electric buses to Nobina since 2024, with total deliveries for 2026 and 2027 expected to exceed 320 units.

CTM Cagliari has introduced three Solaris Urbino 12 Hydrogen buses in Quartu Sant'Elena, the first hydrogen buses in service in Sardinia, as part of a 15 unit order funded and procured via central purchasing body Consip. The operator's zero emission fleet now stands at 236 vehicles, comprising 203 battery electric buses, 30 trolleybuses and three hydrogen buses. CTM aims to achieve a fully zero emission urban fleet by 2030, with the hydrogen vehicles assigned to longer suburban routes.

Solaris Bus & Coach delivered 1,631 buses in 2025, up 7 per cent year on year, and posted €1.18 billion revenue, a 28 per cent increase on 2024. Low and zero-emission vehicles made up 86 per cent of deliveries and over 93 per cent of sales value. The manufacturer secured 2,780 new vehicle orders during the year, its highest order intake on record, with low and zero-emission models representing 88 per cent of contracts.
