Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and Lieutenant Governor Taranjit Singh Sandhu flagged off 200 electric buses on Wednesday, expanding the Delhi Transport Corporation fleet to nearly 6,800 buses, of which 4,938 are electric and 1,750 are CNG. The rollout includes 56 Ladies Special services for university areas and high demand routes, with 30 trips on 15 routes and 26 university trips on 13 routes. Gupta also opened a public EV charging station at Rajghat Depot-I and launched five fully electric, air conditioned inter-state buses on the 133 km Delhi to Karnal route with 10 daily trips in each direction, according to India Today.
