BYD deploys 1,500 kW ultra fast charging network in Indonesia with nine minute charge times
BYD announced on 19 October that it unveiled plans on 14 October in Jakarta to build a flash charging network of up to 1,500 kW in Indonesia, marking the first overseas deployment of its ultra fast charging technology. The company will install chargers initially at 10 Denza showrooms before expanding to public networks from the end of the year, with charging performance reaching 70% from 10% state of charge in five minutes and 97% in nine minutes. The network will be open to all vehicle brands, though top speeds are available only on cars with compatible batteries.
