Pennsylvania has launched an $11 million federal funding round for public EV charging stations across 26 central Pennsylvania counties, with applications open until 12 March 2027. The allocation is part of a broader $100 million plus federal NEVI programme for community charging statewide, following earlier rounds in southeastern and western regions. Pennsylvania has opened nearly 50 NEVI funded stations since December 2023, with 41 more in planning or construction, and existing chargers have delivered over 146,000 sessions supporting an estimated 17.3 million miles of driving.
