Water to Add 123 EV Chargers Across 23 Highway Sites in South Korea
South Korean renewable energy developer Brite Energy Partners will deploy 123 ultra-fast EV chargers across 23 highway service plazas through its Water charging brand, targeting Gyeonggi, Chungcheong, Gangwon and Gyeongsang provinces ahead of an October launch. The rollout comprises 62 units at 400 kW, 46 at 200 kW and 15 at 100 kW, with all stalls offering both DC Combo and NACS plugs to serve Tesla drivers at 120 kW to 200 kW without adapters. The first site opened early at Cheongju service plaza on the Gyeongbu Expressway, marking South Korea's first highway rest stop with 400 kW equipment, and registered members receive a promotional rate of 294 won per kilowatt-hour for 12 months after each station goes live.
