Nissan says Formula E programme informs road EV development in two way exchange
Nissan executives discussed how the manufacturer's Formula E racing activities influence its passenger electric vehicle lineup, and vice versa, at the season 12 finale at ExCel in East London. The Japanese carmaker, which produced the pioneering Leaf model from 2011, positions itself alongside Audi and Subaru as a manufacturer with genuine technology transfer between motorsport and production vehicles. Pascal Wehrlein won his second Formula E title with Porsche, displacing Nissan's Oliver Rowland as champion.
