Hyundai Motor India Limited has partnered with Jio-bp (Reliance BP Mobility Limited) to integrate their EV charging networks, giving customers access to over 37,000 charging points across India via the myHyundai app. Hyundai's high capacity chargers will also be integrated into the Jio-bp pulse charge pro app. The carmaker says customer concerns are shifting from range anxiety to charging anxiety as its EV product line expands in India.

Why it matters: The deal shows how OEMs are bundling third party charging access to ease adoption, and signals that Jio-bp's network scale (37,000 points) is now large enough to anchor major manufacturer partnerships in the Indian market.

Hyundai has introduced a permanent 10 per cent discount at Ionna fast-charging stations across the United States for owners of eligible electric vehicles, effective from 19 August. The discount applies to 2022 and newer Ioniq 5s, 2025 and newer Ioniq 5 Ns and Kona Electrics, and 2026 and newer Ioniq 9s, as well as select Genesis models, when charging sessions are initiated through the MyHyundai app or Plug Charge. Ionna, a joint venture between eight automakers including Hyundai, operates more than 150 charging locations and plans to install over 30,000 fast-charging points by 2030.

Hyundai UK has announced a £22,245 drive away starting price for the entry level Ioniq 3 Advance with a 42.2kWh battery, converting to approximately AU$42,500. The compact EV is scheduled to arrive in Australia in the first quarter of 2027, though Hyundai Australia has not yet confirmed local pricing or variant availability. The UK pricing aligns with earlier indications that the Ioniq 3 could start around AU$42,000 plus on road costs in Australia.
