PPC Blue and OSCAR Downstream to operate 30 EV charging points, including truck charging, at Milcovul on Romania's A7 motorway
PPC Blue România and OSCAR Downstream have signed a contract to install 30 electric vehicle charging points at service areas near Milcovul on the A7 Buzău to Focșani motorway. Fourteen points will serve electric trucks and coaches at a minimum of 350 kW each, while 16 car points at a minimum of 150 kW each have already been installed by the motorway contractor, with PPC Blue taking over their operation once the concession enters into force. The service areas sit at kilometre 131 in both directions and were granted to OSCAR Downstream under a 30-year concession from the National Company for Road Infrastructure Administration (CNAIR) S.A., with PPC Blue financing, designing, connecting to the grid, and maintaining the stations for the concession's duration.
Why it matters
This is a long-term, concession-backed heavy-vehicle charging opportunity on a major Romanian corridor, with at least seven trucks able to charge simultaneously at each site.
