Governor Josh Shapiro awarded four PennDOT Bureau of Strategic Implementation employees for delivering the nation's fastest NEVI rollout, with Pennsylvania securing its full 171.5 million dollar federal allocation and deploying nearly 62 million dollars to date. The state has completed 44 operational NEVI funded charging stations, with another 45 in planning or construction, recording nearly 150,000 charging sessions and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by an estimated 3,700 metric tons. Pennsylvania has received about 20 per cent of all NEVI funding invested nationwide under the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law programme.
