The charger programme launched in 2020 with a CleanBC provincial grant covering 73.33 per cent of capital costs, the balance funded by local governments. Electoral Area G Director Lehann Wallace had tabled a motion seeking options to remove the charging service from the financial plan by 2028 or earlier.
