UAEV to open integrated EV charging hub in Dubai in early 2027

Emarat EV Charging Stations Company (UAEV), the UAE's government owned electric vehicle charging point operator, plans to launch an integrated charging hub in Dubai in early 2027, according to Acting CEO Ali Al Darwish speaking at the WETEX exhibition. The facility will be modelled on UAEV's Pininfarina designed charging station in Ajman, which opened in January 2026 and can charge up to 20 vehicles simultaneously with a 440 kilowatt ultra fast charger described as the fastest in the region. UAEV has also signed an agreement with Dubai World Trade Centre to install EV charging infrastructure at four locations within DWTC and Dubai Exhibition Centre.

Why it matters

The 2027 hub signals UAEV's shift from standalone chargers to premium integrated facilities combining multiple chargers, design and amenities, creating a new procurement model for government backed CPOs in the Gulf. The DWTC partnership and expansion into Dubai through public and private tie ups point to accelerating infrastructure rollout and fresh contracting opportunities in the emirate's high footfall commercial sites.
