VEV now supports more than a quarter of the UK electric bus fleet
Commercial fleet electrification specialist VEV has announced that it supports more than 25% of the UK's electric bus fleet, offering an integrated package covering fleet strategy, charging infrastructure, energy management and operational support. Recent work includes depot charging for Nottingham City Transport, including six new double deck vehicles, and moving Stagecoach's Gillmoss depot in Liverpool onto its VEV IQ charging and energy management platform. The company supports more than 6,000 electric commercial vehicles across Europe, including over 5,000 in the UK.

The milestone points to bus operators moving from pilot depots to fleet scale deployment, with energy management, grid capacity and charging optimisation now weighed alongside vehicle procurement. For CPOs and installers, integrated delivery and software led charging management are becoming central to winning depot work.
