Lectron launches Nexus residential charger line with automotive-grade validation and four configurations

Lectron has introduced its Nexus platform of Level 2 wall-mounted home EV chargers, available in four configurations: hardwired 48 A and portable 40 A units, each offered with SAE J3400 (NACS) or J1772 connectors. All models feature a 23 foot 7 AWG cable, IP66 rated enclosures and certification to UL 2594, UL 2231, UL 2251 and UL 817 standards, with internal testing including thermal cycling from minus 22° F to 122° F and connection cycle testing exceeding 10,000 insertions. The announcement was posted on 31 July 2026 by Charles Morris in the Fleets and Infrastructure section.

Why it matters

The launch signals Lectron's push into the residential charging market with hardware validated to automotive OEM standards, potentially appealing to procurement teams seeking proven reliability for fleet depot or workplace installations. The dual connector options and portable variant broaden specification flexibility for mixed fleet environments transitioning to NACS.
