The state projects its EV charging workforce will grow fourfold to 14,300 workers by 2030 under a AU$5 million (US$3.47 million), three year Electrification Skills Program running through 2026 to 2027. The training forms part of the broader Victorian Energy Jobs Plan and runs alongside courses in switchboard upgrades, heat pump installation, and commercial solar PV support, with new minimum energy efficiency standards for buildings taking effect from January and March 2027.
