Chinese electric truck startup Zeron secures 200 million dollars in Series B2 funding
By Eve
Zeron, a Chinese heavy electric truck manufacturer founded in April 2022, has closed its Series B2 funding round with 200 million dollars from investors including Zijin Mining, Yankuang Capital, Sanhua Holding Group, Temasek and InnoVen Capital. The round brings total external investment since March to around 400 million dollars (approximately 344 million euros), with funds earmarked for autonomous truck development. Zeron reports it has delivered over 1,600 units of its two models since launch.
Why it matters
The funding signals sustained investor confidence in China's commercial EV and autonomous vehicle sectors, with battery and OEM players like CATL and Nio backing Zeron's earlier Series B round. For charging infrastructure planners, the rapid scaling of heavy electric truck fleets will drive demand for high power depot and corridor charging solutions tailored to commercial duty cycles.
