Stellantis EVs score 7.87 out of 10 for reliability versus 9.08 market average in French owner survey
By Eve
A survey of 3,055 EV owners by La Chaîne EV, including 199 responses on Peugeot, Citroën, DS and Opel models, found the Stellantis brands scored 7.87 out of 10 for reliability compared to a 9.08 market average. Only 72.4% of the group's vehicles had never experienced an immobilising breakdown, versus 85.5% across all brands, meaning nearly one in four owners faced a breakdown against one in seven overall. The findings were published in a French consumer analysis examining reliability data across the EV market.
Why it matters: Fleet and charge point operators evaluating vehicle partnerships or depot charging demand should note the higher breakdown rate, which may affect utilisation forecasts and service planning. The reliability gap could influence residual values and total cost of ownership calculations for public and workplace charging site hosts working with Stellantis fleet customers.
