Zenobē opens $100 million fund for Australian truck operators to electrify fleets at no upfront cost

By Eve

London based Zenobē is accepting expressions of interest for its $100 million truck electrification funding initiative, announced last month at the Freight Forward conference in Canberra. The investment covers electric trucks, charging infrastructure, battery replacements and deployment, targeting medium to large heavy commercial vehicle fleets with depot based operations. Zenobē aims to double Australia's heavy electric truck fleet from approximately 1,000 to 2,000 by the end of this year while matching or beating diesel total cost of ownership.

Why it matters: The program removes upfront capital barriers for fleet operators considering electrification and will drive demand for depot charging infrastructure across Australia. Zenobē's integrated approach, funding both vehicles and charging ecosystems, offers a procurement model that could accelerate heavy duty charging deployments for CPOs targeting commercial fleet customers.
