Highland Council deploys first all-electric bus for Inverness schools and public routes

Highland Council has introduced its first fully electric bus, a 46 seat wheelchair accessible coach, to serve home to school transport, public routes and internal school hires in Inverness. The authority expects the vehicle to cut carbon emissions and fuel costs while delivering quieter journeys. From 6 April, the council will also launch a £5 city day rider ticket for unlimited travel on its urban bus network.
