Lectron opens China factory tour, supplies Ford, GM and Mercedes with NACS adapters and launches NEXUS Level 2 charger

By Eve

Lectron, a supplier of EV charging adapters and home chargers, has opened its China factory to media, revealing it now supplies more than 15 global OEMs including Ford, GM and Mercedes-Benz. The company manufactures J1772/CCS to NACS and NACS to J1772/CCS adapters, each containing around 60 components, and has launched its second generation NEXUS Level 2 home charger. CEO Chris Maiwald said quality control includes design phase reviews, process failure mode analysis and end of line testing for electrical performance, IP rating verification and aging chamber durability tests.

Why it matters: The factory tour confirms Lectron as a significant tier supplier in the NACS transition, with established OEM relationships that may inform procurement teams evaluating adapter and home charger supply chains. Its multi stage quality process and direct to consumer retail presence through Home Depot and Amazon signal manufacturing scale relevant to CPOs considering white label or bulk adapter orders.
