The rollout includes roughly 180 chargers for East Ayrshire, 210 for North Ayrshire and 220 for South Ayrshire, with passive infrastructure for over 450 additional chargers to enable future upgrades without disruptive roadworks.

Circular 61/2026/TT-BCT, issued by Vietnam's Ministry of Industry and Trade, requires public EV charging stations to serve vehicles from multiple manufacturers starting 1 July 2027. Operators must install compatible connectors, charging modes and technical specifications, and station control systems must not restrict charging for publicly declared compatible vehicle configurations. The regulation emphasises technical compatibility without mandating support for all vehicle brands, The Investor reported on 8 October.

The rule forces charging point operators in Vietnam to design infrastructure for interoperability, potentially raising upfront costs but widening the addressable customer base.
