Karnataka, Maharashtra and Delhi lead Centre's electric bus rollout as two schemes near completion
By Eve
India's electric bus deployment under two central government schemes is approaching completion, with Karnataka, Maharashtra and Delhi securing the largest allocations, according to parliamentary data analysed by Mint. Uttar Pradesh received no buses under the schemes, while Bihar was allotted 400 units.
Why it matters: The allocation pattern reveals which state markets offer the most immediate opportunities for charging infrastructure providers and bus operators. The exclusion of Uttar Pradesh and limited Bihar allocation signals uneven regional demand that will shape near term procurement pipelines.
