Kemppi Group launches Kemplink subsidiary to supply DC fast charging cables and connectors

By Eve

Finnish technology firm Kemppi Group has established Kemplink, a new subsidiary that designs and manufactures high power DC fast charging cables for electric passenger vehicles and heavy duty transport, plus connectors and supporting systems for charging infrastructure. The products and technology have been under development within Kemppi Group for the past two years, drawing on the parent company's decades of expertise in power electronics, thermal management and ergonomics. Antti Kemppi, Chairman of the Board, said the move is a natural next step in the group's electrification journey as transport electrification accelerates.

Why it matters: The launch adds a specialist cable and connector supplier to the procurement pipeline at a time when DC fast charging networks are expanding for both light and heavy duty fleets. Kemplink's focus on high power transfer and thermal management may appeal to CPOs deploying ultra fast chargers and depot charging for commercial vehicles.
