Mahindra BE.07 electric SUV enters testing ahead of 2027 India launch

Mahindra & Mahindra has confirmed a 2027 launch for the BE.07 electric SUV, the production version of a concept shown in August 2022. The vehicle is currently undergoing testing in India and will become the fourth born-electric SUV from Mahindra and the second under its BE sub-brand, following the XEV BE 6, XEV 9e and XEV 9S. Spy shots reveal the SUV will feature Level 2 ADAS hardware including sensors and radar, flush door handles, and angular styling positioned to compete with the Tata Harrier EV and Vinfast VF7.
Why it matters: The BE.07 signals Mahindra's continued expansion of its electric SUV portfolio in India, adding a mid-size competitor to the growing EV market. For charging operators, the rollout of multiple Mahindra EV platforms through 2027 points to rising demand for public and workplace charging infrastructure across Indian cities.
