Moto opens 32 bay ultra rapid charging hub at Tamworth with dedicated eHGV infrastructure
By Eve
Moto Hospitality has launched its Moto CHARGE hub at Tamworth, featuring 24 bays for passenger cars and eight dedicated eHGV bays delivering up to 360kW ultra rapid charging. The site forms part of Moto's £500 million investment programme to quadruple its EV charging bays and accelerate eHGV infrastructure rollout nationwide, with delivery partners GRIDSERVE and Actemium building on their work at the UK's first public eHGV charging hub at Moto Exeter.
Why it matters: The 32 bay Tamworth hub demonstrates a motorway service operator scaling dedicated heavy goods vehicle charging alongside passenger provision, signalling growing commercial confidence in eHGV infrastructure procurement. The £500 million programme scale and repeat partnerships with GRIDSERVE and Actemium point to a pipeline of similar multi use hubs for CPOs and contractors targeting the logistics sector.
