Norwegian investor acquires Easee for NOK 1.6 billion after company swings to profit

Privately owned Norwegian investor Brødrene Jensen has acquired 100% of EV charging solutions provider Easee in a transaction valued at approximately NOK 1.6 billion (US$145 million), financed by AWC, which will become the majority owner pending approvals. The deal follows a dramatic turnaround in Easee's financials, with the company reporting 2025 earnings before taxes of NOK 18.6 million after losses of NOK 414 million in 2023. Easee hit one million chargers deployed across Europe in 2025 and delivered its first recurring revenues from grid flexibility services.
Why it matters: The acquisition provides Easee with a focused ownership structure to accelerate investment in technology and European expansion, while the company's return to profitability and milestone of one million deployed chargers signals growing scale in the competitive charging infrastructure market. The emergence of recurring revenues from grid flexibility services points to new business models beyond hardware sales for charge point operators.
