Rivian sold roughly 700 vehicles to government fleets over three years, Sourcewell contract reveals

Rivian disclosed that approximately 0.5 per cent of its sales through 1 August 2025 went to government entities, equating to around 700 units out of an estimated 140,767 vehicles sold from July 2022 to June 2025, according to Cox Automotive data. The Irvine based EV maker secured a contract with Sourcewell, a government procurement agency, and expects public fleet sales to rise to 1.5 per cent of total sales in calendar year 2025 following a California state contract awarded on 28 February 2025.
