Tata Power opens two ultra-fast charging hubs on NH-65 in Telangana

By Eve

Tata Power and Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd have inaugurated two co-branded TATA.ev MegaCharger stations on National Highway 65 in Telangana, announced 10 July 2026. The sites feature two 120 kW chargers at Vivera Junction, Narketpalle, and a 240 kW dual-dispenser unit at 7 Midway Plaza, Suryapet, developed with Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd to serve intercity travellers between Hyderabad and Vijayawada. The rollout expands Tata Power's Telangana network to over 150 charging points.

Why it matters: Highway corridor charging remains a procurement priority for OEMs and fleet operators seeking to de-risk long-distance EV routes. The dual-brand deployment model and 240 kW capacity signal a shift toward higher-power, co-located infrastructure on India's strategic freight and passenger corridors.
