Terawatt Infrastructure secures $300 million in secured debt financing to expand autonomous vehicle charging network
By Eve
Terawatt Infrastructure has closed a five year facility for up to $150 million in committed senior secured financing, with an option for an incremental $150 million, led by RBC Capital Markets. The proceeds will fund acquisition and development of charging depots for autonomous and electric fleets. Terawatt operates the largest network of purpose built AV and commercial EV charging infrastructure in the United States, owning and operating the full stack including real estate, power, chargers, power management software and operations.
Why it matters: The deal signals growing institutional confidence in dedicated fleet charging infrastructure as a bankable asset class, particularly for autonomous vehicle operators. Terawatt's full stack ownership model, which converts fleet capital expenditure into operating expense, offers a procurement blueprint for operators seeking turnkey depot solutions with guaranteed uptime.
