Transform Trust completes EV charger rollout across 26 primary and nursery schools in Nottingham and Derby
By Eve
Transform Trust finished installing electric vehicle charge points at all 26 of its primary schools in Nottingham and Derby in October, with Cantrell Primary and Nursery School in Bulwell the final site. Nottingham City Council's Workplace Travel Service funded installations at city schools, while schools outside the council area accessed Office of Zero Emission Vehicles grants. The trust uses the chargers for inter-school travel, off-site meetings and home visits.
Why it matters: The project demonstrates how public sector organisations can layer local authority workplace schemes with OZEV funding to deliver multi-site charging estates. It also shows education trusts emerging as a distinct procurement segment for workplace charging infrastructure.
