Which? calls for driver experience surveys to guide UK public charging rollout

By Eve

Consumer group Which? has published a policy report urging government and industry to prioritise day to day driver experience and robust data collection to unlock the next phase of EV adoption in the UK. The report, titled Charging ahead: a driver centric approach to public EV charging, draws on findings from the Zapmap Annual Charging Survey Report and warns that a home charging divide could slow future growth.

Why it matters: Procurement teams and charge point operators may face new policy pressure to demonstrate user satisfaction metrics and address access gaps, particularly for drivers without home charging, as Which? pushes for evidence led network planning.
