Iveco unveils wireless charging eDaily van for Italian toll road deployment

By Eve

Iveco has launched the first road ready eDaily electric van with integrated dynamic and static wireless charging, to be deployed by A35 Brebemi, an Italian toll road operator connecting Brescia and Milan. The inductive charging system uses coils beneath the road surface to transfer energy to vehicles above, following nearly a year of testing at the Arena del Futuro site. Iveco aims to extend static charging functionality to compatible public sites.

Why it matters: The deployment marks a commercial step for dynamic wireless power transfer infrastructure, potentially reducing the need for fixed charging points on fleet routes. Toll road operators and fleet managers may see new procurement opportunities as wireless charging moves from testing to operational deployment.
