InstaVolt launches off-peak tariff in Republic of Ireland at 55 cent per kWh

InstaVolt has introduced off-peak charging rates of 55 cent per kWh between 8pm and 7am at its Republic of Ireland sites from 6 July, a reduction from the standard 85 cent per kWh rate. The operator now runs more than 4,250 chargers across over 1,200 sites, with 10 sites and 25 ultra-rapid chargers currently live in Ireland. The off-peak pricing mirrors a scheme already available to UK drivers and applies to payments via the InstaVolt app or RFID card.
Why it matters: Time-of-use tariffs help CPOs manage grid demand and offer a commercial lever to attract cost-conscious fleet and private users, particularly as Irish rapid-charging infrastructure expands.
