Fleet solutions provider Radius has expanded its UK EV charging network by 20,000 chargers over the past year, part of a 220,000 charger addition across Europe. The growth came through 16 new roaming partners, including GreenFlux (70,000 chargers), Monta (34,500), and Allegro (32,000), with the UK network now incorporating 3,000 InstaVolt and 2,000 Gridserve chargers. Radius cards facilitated 42.6 million kWh of charging over the period.

Monta has acquired the charge point management software customer contracts operated by Vourity, ABB E-mobility's Nordic subsidiary, in a deal that expands Monta's CPMS presence in Northern Europe. The transaction involves only the transfer of software customer contracts, not an acquisition of ABB E-mobility or Vourity itself. Monta now supervises more than 260,000 commercial charge points and supports over 800 charge point models across its platform.

Why it matters: The deal reflects ongoing consolidation in the CPMS market, where platforms that monitor chargers, manage access and control pricing are becoming critical control points in the EV charging business. Operators are increasingly standardising on established, full featured platforms rather than smaller regional tools, which may influence procurement decisions and vendor selection strategies.

Danish charge point management software provider Monta has published its 2025 Charger Performance ranking based on uptime and charging success rate across 260,000 chargers, mainly in Europe. Alpitronic, used by Ampol AmpCharge and BP Pulse in Australia, secured the top four positions, while Kempower (deployed by Evie Networks, Exploren and RAA) took fifth and seventh with its C and S series units. Autel, installed at Woolworths sites on the Chargefox network, ranked sixth with the second highest uptime but the lowest charging success rate in the top ten at 87.85 per cent.

Why it matters: The ranking provides procurement teams and CPOs with comparative reliability data on hardware already deployed across major Australian networks, highlighting that even top performing units such as Alpitronic experience a 4.5 per cent charge initiation failure rate. With charging success harder to mitigate than uptime, the data underscores the importance of hardware selection in tender processes for new rollouts.
