Perodua shows P-Charge mobile EV rescue truck with 150 kW DC output and 209 kWh of portable storage
Perodua displayed its P-Charge On-The-Go rescue truck at Auto Car Expo 2026 at the Setia City Convention Centre, ahead of roadshow engagements from next month, according to paultan.org. The truck is built on a battery-electric Foton 7.5 tonne chassis with a 100.46 kWh CATL battery giving up to 210 km of range, and carries a 209 kWh portable battery that outputs up to 150 kW DC via a CCS2 plug. It currently operates internally around the Rawang headquarters and the Perodua Sentral centre in Petaling Jaya, with access for QV-E owners via the P-Circle app when the service goes online next year.
Why it matters
A carmaker running its own mobile DC charging fleet shows that roadside rescue charging is becoming an OEM service layer in Malaysia, which may shape demand for portable charging hardware and service contracts. CPOs and suppliers should note that it is for now limited to Perodua's own customers and sites, with a wider rollout dependent on the 2027 launch.
