Eclipse leads $31 million Series A in Ever, an AI native marketplace for used electric vehicles
By Eve
Ever, a startup positioning itself as the first AI native, full stack auto retail platform dedicated to electric vehicles, has closed a $31 million Series A funding round led by Eclipse, with participation from Ibex Investors, Lifeline Ventures, and JIMCO, the investment arm of the Saudi Arabian Jameel family. The company already serves thousands of customers buying and selling used EVs and plans to use the capital to scale operations. Eclipse partner Jiten Behl argues that bolt on AI tools in automotive retail are insufficient, comparing them to legacy automakers retrofitting combustion platforms for electric drivetrains rather than designing purpose built EV architectures.
Why it matters: A liquid, trusted secondary market for used EVs can lower total cost of ownership barriers and accelerate fleet turnover, both critical for charge point operators planning utilisation and site economics. Purpose built digital infrastructure may also streamline data flows between resale platforms, fleet operators, and charging networks as the EV parc matures.
