Fuuse and Drax Electric Vehicles partner to migrate nearly 1,000 former bp pulse fleet depot customers

By Eve

Fuuse and Drax Electric Vehicles, part of Drax Group, have announced a partnership to support the transition of nearly 1,000 former bp pulse fleet depot-charging customers, who collectively operate more than 14,000 charging sockets. Fuuse will lead the migration of the charging infrastructure to its platform so fleets can retain and manage their existing equipment, following more than a year of hardware testing and platform development with bp's EV charging business. The report, posted on 3 November 2026, notes that bp decided in July 2025 to exit the fleet EV charging market.

Why it matters

A large base of depot charging sockets is moving to a new platform without hardware replacement, which keeps existing equipment in service and shapes who holds the ongoing software, service and maintenance relationships. Fuuse and Drax will provide access to service and maintenance support, including continued support for existing hardware warranties, so operators and service providers should note where this migration places those contracts.

bp pulse joins ChargeHub's Passport Hub roaming platform in North America

bp pulse has joined ChargeHub's Passport Hub, bringing more than 850 charging points across 95-plus bp pulse locations into the EV roaming ecosystem, according to a Wednesday company news release. Drivers can find, access and pay for charging through the ChargeHub app and the network of e-mobility service providers (eMSPs) and automakers connected to the hub. Sujay Sharma, vice president of EV charging, U.S., at bp pulse, said the move expands access through trusted roaming partners.

Why it matters

A major fast charging operator choosing a hub model for roaming points to hub connectivity becoming a standard expectation in North American charging. CPOs and buyers should consider roaming and interoperability support when specifying networks and evaluating partners.

TotalEnergies opens its first 1,000 kW Megawatt Charging System lane for electric trucks at Phalsbourg in Moselle

TotalEnergies has commissioned its first Megawatt Charging System (MCS) in France, on the AS 24 multi-energy station at Phalsbourg in Moselle, close to the A4 freight corridor between France and Germany. The site already had six CCS charge points and now adds an MCS lane fed by a 1,000 kW cabinet, which the group says charges twice as fast as current high power chargers, taking a compatible truck battery from 20% to 80% in under 30 minutes. The station also serves as a pilot site, where TotalEnergies research teams test MCS-compatible trucks and measure the charging curve, power actually delivered, infrastructure reliability and charger to vehicle communication, according to French trade coverage of the inauguration.

Why it matters

TotalEnergies joins competitors already operating MCS, so megawatt charging for heavy goods vehicles is moving from trial towards a competitive offer on key cross-border corridors. For CPOs and procurement teams, the pilot's data on real delivered power and charger to vehicle interoperability will be a useful benchmark when specifying 1,000 kW hardware.

Iberdrola and BYD sign agreement to offer free home chargers and bonus electricity to BYD plug-in buyers in Spain

Iberdrola and BYD have announced a strategic agreement to launch the 'Plan Recarga Inteligente' (Smart Recharge Plan) in Spain, covering both home charging and medium and long-distance travel. Buyers of a new BYD plug-in model, including 100% electric cars and DM-i plug-in hybrids, receive the home charging equipment at no extra cost if they contract the installation with Iberdrola at a reduced price. The programme also includes a bonus of 10,000 km of electricity for subscribers to the plan and exclusive advantages on the public charging network, as reported in the announcement excerpt.

Why it matters

Bundling free hardware with an energy utility installation shows automakers and utilities locking up the home charging channel at the point of vehicle sale, which narrows the opening for independent installers and charge point operators. Operators should watch how the public network perks steer BYD drivers towards Iberdrola's charging infrastructure.
