Pennsylvania awards US$9 million NEVI funding for 12 new EV charging stations along major roadways

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation has allocated US$9 million in National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure programme funds to install 12 new charging stations on the state's major routes, adding to US$54 million already invested. Pennsylvania has built 30 NEVI charging stations to date, with 53 more planned or under construction; the first station, opened in December 2023, has delivered over 80,000 charging sessions and supported approximately 9.6 million driven miles.
