Spain launches Reve app mapping 43,000 connectors across 13,000 locations nationwide

By Eve

The Spanish government officially launched the Reve app on 14 September 2026, providing real-time access to approximately 44,700 charging points across the country. Developed by the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and managed by Red Eléctrica, the platform currently tracks about 43,000 connectors at 40,000 charging points in more than 13,000 locations, ensuring 99% of Spain's drivable territory sits within 50 kilometers of a public charger. The app consolidates previously fragmented private networks into a single, government-backed map with live availability and pricing data.

Why it matters: A unified, real-time national charging map reduces driver range anxiety and signals Spain's commitment to transparent infrastructure, potentially accelerating EV adoption and creating a more predictable environment for CPOs and site hosts. The government-led consolidation of network data may also influence procurement standards and interoperability requirements for future charging tenders.
