Rivian Adventure Network expands to 157 sites and 1,000 stalls, now open to non-Rivian EVs

The Rivian Adventure Network has grown from five sites in 2022 to 157 locations with over 1,000 DC fast charging stalls across the United States, making it one of the largest proprietary networks in the country. Each site hosts three to sixteen stalls delivering up to 300 kilowatts, capable of adding roughly 150 miles of range in 20 minutes to Rivian vehicles. The network, originally exclusive to Rivian owners, is now open to nearly all electric vehicles on the road.
Why it matters: The network's rapid expansion and shift to public access creates new competitive pressure on established CPOs and signals a manufacturer led infrastructure model that targets underserved outdoor and rural locations rather than highway corridors.
